Privacy Policy
This is how Grind4more handles your personal data when you shop with us, join a drop list, or sign up for our emails and text messages. Short version: we only use your data to run the store and keep you posted, we never sell it, and you can opt out any time.
About us
"We", "us" or "our" means Grind4more, a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 85206210, VAT number NL004065617B54, located at Visseringlaan 23, 2288 ER Rijswijk, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
About this policy
This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal data when you use grind4more.store, our emails and text messages, our social channels, pop-up events, and any other products or services we offer (together, the "Services").

What we collect
Contact information
When you place an order, join a waitlist or drop list, or sign up for our emails or text messages, we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and anything else we need to contact you or deliver your order.
Preferences you give us
When you sign up for a product notification, we save the product, colour and size you picked, so we can tell you when that item is available.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card or bank details. Their own privacy policies apply to that data.
Forms, surveys and promotions
Information you give us when you fill in a form, answer a survey, give feedback, enter a promotion or giveaway, or use other features of the Services.
Communications
Messages you send us by email, text, Instagram DM or phone, including how you contacted us and your marketing preferences.
Usage data and cookies
When you visit our website we collect technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and time spent, through cookies and similar technologies. Marketing and analytics cookies are only placed with your consent, which you can change in the cookie banner on our website.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
- To send you our newsletter, drop announcements and other marketing you signed up for.
- To tell you when a product you asked about is in stock, in the colour and size you chose.
- To answer your questions and customer service requests, and send service messages about your order or account.
- To run contests, giveaways and promotions, and hand out prizes.
- To understand how our website and messages are used, and improve them.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and protect our customers and our business.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and bookkeeping rules.
Emails
If you sign up for our newsletter, a drop list or a waitlist, or buy from us, we use your email address to send you emails about Grind4more: new drops, early access, back-in-stock alerts, events and occasional offers. You also get service emails about your orders, such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
Consent. We only send marketing emails if you signed up for them, or if you bought from us before and didn't opt out.
How often. Usually a few emails a month, more around a drop.
What we measure. Our emails contain small tracking pixels and tracked links, so we can see if an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to send fewer and better emails.
Opting out. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email info@grind4more.store. Service emails about an order you placed still come through.
Your email address is stored with our email provider (Mailchimp). We never sell your email address or share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in to text messages, for example on a "Notify me" page or at checkout, we use your phone number to send you texts about Grind4more: product drops, back-in-stock alerts for the item, colour and size you picked, and occasional offers.
Consent. We only text you if you ticked the box to agree. Agreeing is never a condition of buying anything.
How often. A few messages a month at most, more around a drop.
Costs. We don't charge for texts. Your mobile provider's normal rates may apply.
Opting out. Every text contains an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@grind4more.store and we will remove your number.
Your phone number and SMS consent are stored with our online store platform (Shopify) and our messaging provider (Mailchimp). We never sell your phone number or share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we need a legal basis to use your data. We use:
- Contract: to process and deliver your orders.
- Consent: for marketing emails, text messages, product notifications, and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest: to run, secure and improve our store, and to prevent fraud, where your rights don't outweigh that interest.
- Legal obligation: for example, keeping invoices for the Dutch tax authorities.
Your marketing choices
We send marketing emails and texts only if you signed up for them, or, for email, if you bought from us before and didn't opt out. You can unsubscribe through the link in every email or text, or by emailing info@grind4more.store. After you unsubscribe we may still send you service messages about an order you placed.
Retention and deletion
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the reason we collected it:
- Order and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Email and SMS subscriber data: until you unsubscribe, and then only a record of your opt-out so we don't contact you again.
- Product notification sign-ups: until the product has dropped and we've let you know, unless you also signed up for marketing.
We may keep data longer if we need it to comply with the law or to handle a legal claim. Ask us for details at any time.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the EEA, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Have your data deleted.
- Object to or restrict how we use your data.
- Get your data in a readable, standard format (data portability).
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
To use any of these rights, email info@grind4more.store. We reply within one month. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the authority in your own country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make important changes, we will let you know by email or with a clear notice on our website.
